This week on the Sports in the Rockies Coaches show, we really focus in on the postseason.
The Cotopaxi Pirates and Custer County Bobcats were playing for league supremacy this year when we headed up to Westcliff for the action.
Plenty of postseason action is coming as the local schools did well in terms of qualifying for the playoffs
The South Park Burros and the Custer County Bobcats met in their traditional rivalry, and with more on the line than normal, as the league champ gave themselves a guaranteed postseason spot.

This week on the Sports in the Rockies Coaches Show – Salida, we had the pleasure of talking with Salida Girls Swimming Coach Wendy Gorie, as well as Custer County Wrestling Coach Shannon Palmer and Cotopaxi AD and Girls Basketball Coach Troy Thornton.
Following multiple meetings in the past week, including this weekend, CHSAA has secured variances from CDPHE and state officials which will allow all Season B sports and activities to begin practice on Jan. 18.
Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has officially pushed the start of the winter sports season to February 1st.
The day went to the mountains in the girls 2A cross country race, as the Buena Vista Demons and Lake County Panthers went one-two at the CHSAA State Meet on Saturday.
