The Salida Spartan boys and Buena Vista Demon girls had to fight to make it into this years postseason bracket, but the fight paid off!

The Salida boys are heading south as they earned the 28 seed and will face off against Centauri in the opening round on Friday. The other two teams in the region are 12th ranked Manitou Springs and 21st ranked Jefferson Academy.

For the Buena Vista girls, they head west for a battle with the 4th ranked Delta Panthers after getting the 29 seed. On the other side of their region are 13th ranked Platte Valley and 20th ranked Roaring Fork.

The Cotopaxi Pirate girls also made the field, taking second place in their district, and in turn earning a game against the Dove Creek Bulldogs for a trip to state on Saturday. That is winner take all in Gunnison.
