A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for today. Snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches are expected in the higher elevations above 9,000 feet.
Plan on hazardous driving conditions, especially over high mountain passes. Wind gusts of 60 mph are also possible today.
Salida and Buena Vista can expect a high of 49. Look for an overnight low of 19.
The San Luis Valley will see a high of 43, a low of 13.
Leadville and Fairplay will warm up to 25 with a low of 5.

His radio career has had stops in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually, Colorado. He and his wife Carrie spend their days doing everything the mountains have to offer: hiking, camping, fishing and skiing. They've raised 3 children and have 2 grandchildren.
