Alamosa Police says a suspect is in custody after he shot a man Thursday night during a protest demonstration.
The victim was believed to be shot while driving through the protest downtown.
When police arrived at the protest in downtown, officers found a 49-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, no word on his condition.
The suspect was taken into custody and facing slew of charges including attempted second-degree murder.
The motive of the shooting isn’t clear. The investigation is ongoing.
