The new attorney for Herbert Lucas Scott, Julia Stancil, asked District Judge Patrick Murphy this week for a 45-day continuance in the case so that she can have more time to go through details of the cases against Scott.
Scott faces multiple sexual assault and obscenity charges over several cases that stem from alleged activities at his parents day care, the Pony Patch at Doolittle Ranch.
Stancil was appointed to represent Scott after his original attorney, Ernest Marquez, whithdrew.
Scott’s first trial addressing sexual assault charges, ended in a mistrial. Scott will next appear in court January 12th where either a plea will be heard, or jury trial dates will be set.

His radio career has had stops in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually, Colorado. Dan enjoys being involved in the community, having been a member of the Upper Arkansas Service Club and is currently on the board of directors for the Salida Community Center and is a member of the Chaffee County Fair Committee. He and his wife Carrie spend their days doing everything the mountains have to offer: hiking, camping, fishing and skiing. They've raised 3 children and have 2 grandchildren.
