Saguache County’s Emergency Management Director has Completed FEMA’s Incident Command System Training

In what is being called a significant milestone for Saguache County’s emergency preparedness, the county’s Emergency Management Director Bobby Woelz has completed FEMA’s Incident Command System Train-the-Trainer program.
This accomplishment marks the end of a yearlong program comprising eight courses over 113 hours of instruction. Woelz’s next step is to apply for endorsement from the State Training Officer, to officially certify him as an ICS Instructor in Colorado.
This certification will allow Woelz to teach a wide variety of courses, from Early Alert and Warning to Evacuation and Re-Entry, enhancing the county’s overall preparedness and response capabilities.
Danny “Dan R” Ridenour has been in radio and television broadcasting for over 40 years, starting as a senior in high school in Rogers, Arkansas. His radio career has had stops in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually, Colorado. Dan enjoys being involved in the community, having been a member of the Upper Arkansas Service Club and is currently on the board of directors for the Salida Community Center and is a member of the Chaffee County Fair Committee. He and his wife Carrie spend their days doing everything the mountains have to offer: hiking, camping, fishing and skiing. They've raised 3 children and have 2 grandchildren.
