Snow is expected this afternoon through tomorrow. The Sangre de Cristo Range and the Wet Mountains could see up to a foot of new snow.
The Sawatch Mountains north of Highway 50 will see 3 to 5 inches. Light snow is expected across the valley.
Salida and Buena Vista can expect a sunny high of 41 today. Look for an overnight low of 19.
The San Luis Valley will see a high of 37, a low of 17.
Leadville and Fairplay will warm up to 27 with a low of 3.
Danny “Dan R” Ridenour has been in radio and television broadcasting for over 40 years, starting as a senior in high school in Rogers, Arkansas. His radio career has had stops in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually, Colorado. He and his wife Carrie spend their days doing everything the mountains have to offer: hiking, camping, fishing and skiing. They've raised 3 children and have 2 grandchildren.
