We have a partly sunny and mild weekend in store. Wintry weather is expected to return to the mountains tonight night with occasional snow showers possible across the Divide.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through Thursday, Jan. 18th. Snow is expected along the Divide with up to 14 inches possible. Winds could gust up to 60 mph at times.
On January 13th, 2024, the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office issued 2 arrest warrants for 36-year-old Johnathan Edward Lee of Salida, for Burglary of a Dwelling, a class 3 Felony.
[UPDATE] As of 5:30 pm on January 15th, the Colorado Department of Transportation reports that Monarch Pass on Highway 50 is open in both directions.
[UPDATE] CDOT has completed work and re-opened Monarch Pass on Highway 50.
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect through Jan. 15th. Strong winds, bitterly cold arctic air, and light to moderate snow will continue to impact the mountains.
