The Salida School District is now accepting applications from individuals interested in serving on the Board of Education as an at-large director.
The appointed term would begin in February and continue through the next regularly scheduled school board election in November 2027.
To be eligible for appointment, applicants must be registered voters within the Salida School District and must have lived in the district for at least 12 consecutive months prior to the appointment.
Those interested are asked to submit a one-page introduction along with a one-page essay outlining what they hope to accomplish as a member of the Board of Education. Application materials must be submitted by the end of business tomorrow.
The Salida School District Board of Education will interview selected candidates on February 10.
