The Chaffee County Community Foundation, in partnership with the Salida Community Center, High Country Bank, and the City of Salida, has launched a fundraising campaign to ensure fireworks displays continue for Salida’s Parade of Lights and Fourth of July celebrations.

Organizers say the annual Fourth of July fireworks display has historically required about $25,000, while the Parade of Lights display costs approximately $10,000. This year’s campaign aims to raise a combined total of $35,000 by June 1 to cover both events.

Community members are encouraged to support the effort and help keep these long-standing celebrations alive. Donations can be made online at chaffeecommunity.org.

Organizers say the fundraiser is critical to maintaining the traditions that bring residents and visitors together throughout the year.
