The City of Salida will reopen F Street on Monday. It is necessary to reopen the street to allow for snow and ice removal. 

On June 4th, the City initiated a closure of two blocks of F Street between Sackett Avenue and 2nd Street in downtown Salida in order to allow for social distancing for pedestrians.  Downtown businesses have made us of this space in a variety of ways to provide outdoor dining and other displays.              

For the annual Halloween celebration, the City of Salida strongly encourages people to not congregate in large numbers. The City recommends all residents review and follow the guidelines for Halloween issued by the Chaffee County Health Department. The City also strongly suggests that any residents that do not want to participate in any Halloween activities turn their porch light off to avoid any contact with the public.

Danny “Dan R” Ridenour has been in radio and television broadcasting for over 40 years, starting as a senior in high school in Rogers, Arkansas. His radio career has had stops in Nashville, Memphis, Oklahoma, and eventually, Colorado. Dan enjoys being involved in the community, having been a member of the Upper Arkansas Service Club and is currently on the board of directors for the Salida Community Center and is a member of the Chaffee County Fair Committee. He and his wife Carrie spend their days doing everything the mountains have to offer: hiking, camping, fishing and skiing. They've raised 3 children and have 2 grandchildren.
