Duke arrived at Ark-Valley Humane Society 260 days ago. The shelter currently has several dogs that have become long-term stay residents despite their wonderful personalities. Duke in particular has a big personality and a big heart. When you meet him, he is always happy and wiggly. Despite being a larger dog, Duke is also very gentle. He has met children of many ages and has done well. He also has a cat in his foster home that he snuggles with. Duke’s favorite thing to do in his foster home is to snuggle with his family as well. He has thankfully been in foster care for a while. His foster parents are working on training and giving him lots of cuddles. Duke would love to find a family of his own. AHVS hopes that making Duke Pet of the Week will get him noticed and adopted into a loving home.

Promotion within Ark-Valley Humane Society has created an opening for an Animal Care Technician. Starting wage of $22 an hour on weekdays, $24 an hour on weekends. This position is full-time, Wednesday through Saturday, 8am-6pm. Must love animals! Apply online at ark-valley.org
