The League of Women Voters of Chaffee County will host an open community forum focused on the Colorado Taxpayer Bill of Rights (TABOR), offering residents an opportunity to learn more about the amendment, its impacts, and emerging ideas for potential modifications to meet the state’s changing needs in the 21st century.
The Colorado Fiscal Institute, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing equity-focused economic policies that support working families, will lead the discussion. Presenters will examine how Colorado’s current tax and budget system functions today and explore considerations for the future.
The TABOR forum will be held Monday, February 9, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Salida Methodist Church, located at 228 East 4th Street. The event is open to the public.
