A wildfire burning west of Durango, the East Canyon Fire, has grown to over 2,000 acres.
The fire is burning on BLM and private lands in both Montezuma and La Plata counties.
The Colorado Department of Public Health issued an air quality health advisory for much of southwest Colorado yesterday.
Smoke from the East Canyon Fire, along with fires burning in northern Arizona, is causing hazy conditions in our area.
