More than 79,000 Coloradans filed for unemployment aid last week, bringing the total to more than 300,000 since the pandemic began.
As a nation, 30 million have applied for unemployment in the last 6 weeks. That works out to roughly 1 in 5 people who were employed in February are now out of a job.
