The Chaffee County Board of Commissioners will meet tomorrow at 9 a.m. at the Chaffee County Public Safety Complex in Buena Vista, with several major agenda items on tap.
Commissioners are scheduled to hold a first reading on an ordinance that would restrict open fires and open burning in unincorporated areas of Chaffee County, including proposed penalties for violations.
The board will also hold a public hearing on a multi-year Special Event permit request for September concerts at The Meadows. In addition, commissioners will discuss and consider landfill fees for 2026 as part of ongoing planning for county services and costs.
The meeting will conclude with an appointment to a local board, with commissioners expected to name Sarah Brown McClain to the Chaffee Housing Authority board of directors.
