Due to changes at the federal level, health insurance premiums purchased through Connect for Health Colorado are expected to increase significantly in 2026. Chaffee County Public Health encourages residents to be aware of these potential increases and to plan accordingly.
Many Coloradans may still qualify for financial assistance through the Colorado Premium Assistance Program when purchasing plans through Connect for Health Colorado. However, individuals and households earning over 400% of the federal poverty level will likely not be eligible for assistance. Please note that final decisions regarding assistance have not yet been made.
Today is the last day to enroll for coverage beginning January 1.
