The City of Salida is inviting qualified developers and homebuilders to participate in Phase 1 of the South Ark Neighborhood, a new mixed-income housing development planned on 12 acres of city-owned land.
City officials say the project is intended to help meet the growing demand for workforce and affordable housing while creating a vibrant residential neighborhood that includes parks, open space and community amenities.
Phase 1 of the development includes 53 development lots with the potential to support up to 150 residential units. The city has already begun infrastructure construction to prepare the site for vertical development.
Developers and homebuilders interested in the project are encouraged to attend a pre-proposal meeting and site tour scheduled for May 27.
