Heart of the Rockies Radio is warning local businesses about a scam that has recently come to our attention.
Several businesses have reported receiving calls from individuals claiming to represent companies called “Crown Media” or “RAI Media.” During these calls, the caller attempts to sell advertising campaigns that supposedly honor our military and claims the commercials will air on Heart of the Rockies Radio.
These calls are fraudulent.
Heart of the Rockies Radio is not affiliated with Crown Media or RAI Media, and we have not authorized any outside company to sell advertising on our behalf for these campaigns.
The scammers appear to be targeting local businesses by appealing to their support for the military and community causes.
If you receive a call like this:
- Do not provide payment or business information
- End the call immediately
- Contact Heart of the Rockies Radio directly to verify any advertising opportunities
