The Town of Buena Vista has announced that the Whipple Bridge replacement project begins today, with the bridge closed to the public for approximately four weeks during construction.

In addition to replacing the bridge decking, the town says several safety improvements will be made to extend the structure’s service life and ensure safe, reliable access for years to come.

Trails on the east side of the river will remain open throughout the project. In-town trail access across the river will be available via the Beaver Falls Bridge. Community members are asked to respect posted closures, follow detour signage, and avoid entering active work zones during construction.
