First Friday in Downtown Salida is tonight from 5 to 7 p.m. Art galleries will offer extended hours, demonstrations, receptions, live music, and a chance to meet local artists in their studios.
Colorado Farm to Table is opening its fields for gleaning tomorrow from 8 a.m. to noon. Broccoli, cabbage, and squash will be available. The fields are located on Highway 291 just past the hospital. Bring a knife, bags, or a wagon to haul your veggies. No dogs, please.
Farmers Markets are tomorrow in Buena Vista and Salida. The BV market runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Columbine Park. The Salida market is in Alpine Park from 8 a.m. to noon.
The Cripple Creek Fall Festival runs this weekend along Bennett Avenue. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Visitors can enjoy fall colors, live music, pumpkin carving, and even meet the famous Cripple Creek donkeys.
