Weather Forecast for February 17th

Strong to potentially damaging winds will impact the state today, with gusts of 75 mph possible.  These winds may cause difficult travel for light and high profile vehicles.  A Red Flag Fire Warning is in effect for much of the area.    

Moderate to heavy snow will continue along the Divide through tomorrow, keeping hazardous travel conditions in place.  Snow chances will remain in the forecast across the higher terrain into the weekend. 

Salida and Buena Vista will see a high of 45.  A low of 25.  (43)

The San Luis Valley can expect a high of 41, a low of 21.    (39)

Leadville and Fairplay look for a high of 29 with a low of 13.  (25)
