We Are Chaffee’s Future, a local storytelling initiative led by Chaffee County Public Health, has been awarded a two-year grant from Belonging Colorado to launch its new Belonging Project.
The project aims to bridge divides within the community by fostering constructive dialogue and promoting meaningful engagement across diverse groups. By encouraging shared experiences and understanding, the initiative hopes to strengthen local connections during a time of increasing division.
As part of the project, We Are Chaffee’s Future is actively seeking both indoor and outdoor public spaces across the county to display community-centered artwork.
“We look forward to beginning this important work that will benefit local intergenerational engagement and the entire community—bringing us together at a time when so many forces are pulling us apart,” said Chaffee County Public Health Director Andrea Carlstrom in a press release.
