Authorities say two people were treated for minor injuries following a vehicle incident Tuesday morning in the parking lot of the Salida Health Center clinic.

According to reports, a woman experienced a medical event while driving through the clinic parking lot, causing her vehicle to leave the roadway, go over a curb, and onto the sidewalk near the clinic entrance.

At the time of the incident, a man was exiting the clinic with his baby in a stroller. The man was able to quickly push the stroller out of the vehicle’s path before being struck.

Officials report that the baby was not harmed.

Both the man who was struck and the driver were transported to the Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center Emergency Department for evaluation. Hospital officials say both individuals were later discharged with minor injuries.

Authorities have not released additional details about the incident.
