Scattered thunderstorms are again expected this afternoon and tonight.
The storms will produce gusty winds and less rainfall. This will lead to possible critical fire weather conditions, especially over the Divide.
For Friday and Saturday, slightly cooler temperatures and better coverage of showers can be expected.
Salida and Buena Vista can expect a high of 87 today, an overnight low of 53.
The San Luis Valley will see a high of 81, a low of 49.
Leadville and Fairplay will warm up to 71, a low of 39.

He and his wife Carrie spend their days doing everything the mountains have to offer: hiking, camping, fishing and skiing. They've raised 3 children and have 2 grandchildren.
