Telluride Ski Resort will reopen this weekend following an agreement between resort management and the ski patrol union, ending a strike that began in late December.

In a news release, Telluride Ski Resort officials said, “We are delighted that the two parties came to an agreement. It has been a lot of work, but we are confident that this last offer represents a fair compromise.”

The ski patrol union had been seeking a 35 percent wage increase over the next three years. The agreement was reached after the resort presented what it described as its “last, best, and final offer,” which includes a 23 percent wage increase over that same period.

With the labor dispute resolved, the resort plans to resume normal operations in time for the weekend.
