Spartans finish 3rd, Demons 4th in final Tri-Peaks boys golf standings

The Buena Vista Demons were just edged out by the Salida Spartans for 3rd place in the final Tri-Peaks League boys golf standings.

Salida was able to leap two spots from 5th to 3rd, finishing with a team score of 831 through three tournaments. Buena Vista was right on their heels with a 833 to take 4th place in the team standings.

Aiden Hadley

The Demons would get to still celebrate, as both Chandler Smethers and Cole Reavis would earn the All-League honor by finishing in the top 12 of the series of tournaments.

Smethers would finish in 8th place, with a total of 258 (86-89-83), but he would just be edged out by Salida’s Aiden Hadley who would take 7th with a 257 (89-85-83). Hadley would be the only Spartan to make the All-League Team.

Cole Reavis finished in 10th to also earn the All-League nod, firing a 275 (92-88-95) over the three tournaments.

Ben Clayton (290), Eric O’Connor (292), and Brandon Purcell (297) would finish 14th, 15th and 16th respectively in the field of 29 qualifiers.

Quinn Philips (300) and Max Johnson (315) finished in 18th and 21st to round out the Demons placers.
