Fate of Seven Peaks Music Festival Still Undecided

2019 Seven Peaks Music Festival in Buena Vista (HeartoftheRockiesRadio.com/Terry West)

Whether or not the Seven Peaks Music Festival takes place over the Labor Day weekend at The Meadows in Buena Vista is still up in the air.

Chaffee County Commissioners yesterday continued the discussion on the Live Nation special events permit to its May 12th meeting. The delay was at the request of Live Nation representatives with commissioners agreeing that the sooner the decision is made the better.

Commissioners voted to approve a letter of abatement for Sleeping Indian Mobile Home Park. Asbestos in abandoned trailers and the existing septic system are the areas of concern. Commissioners also extended the declaration of local emergency through June 2nd.

In other business, Chaffee County Commissioners have scheduled a special meeting for 9 am this Friday to vote on a request for a variance from the sate about the moving up the opening date for restaurants in the county.
