Ordinance To Allow Alcohol in Salida City Parks Moves Ahead

The Salida City Council last night voted to approve the first reading of an ordinance that would allow consumption of alcoholic beverages in city parks. 

Alcohol at first would only be allowed in Riverside and Centennial parks.   The proposed ordinance will receive a second reading and public hearing May 19th. 

The Salida City Council also extended their declaration of Local Emergency through June 3rd.
