The Salida School District is now accepting applications from community members interested in serving on the Board of Education as an at-large director.
The appointed term will begin in February and run through the next regular school board election in November 2027. To be eligible, applicants must be registered voters within the Salida School District and must have lived in the district for at least 12 consecutive months prior to appointment.
Those interested are asked to submit a one-page personal introduction along with a one-page essay outlining their goals and what they hope to accomplish during their time on the board. Application materials must be submitted by Tuesday, the 27th.
The Board of Education will interview selected candidates on February 10 before making an appointment.
