The Salida Police Department has filed charges against two suspects in a case that involved crimes including cybercrime, check fraud, identity theft, and theft that totaled close to one million dollars. 

Salida Police identified the suspects as 47-year-old Christopher Reynolds and 42-year-old Amanda Alloy, both of Salida. 

The two were arrested on charges of Forgery by Check, Conspiracy to Commit Fraud by Check, Identity Theft, Cybercrime and Theft, all felonies. 

The two are being held in the Chaffee County Detention Center on a $20,000 cash only bond. 

Reynolds and Alloy were receiving checks from people all over the country in a scam that promised the victims a government grant.  Most of the victims in the case are elderly.
