Chaffee County Public Health is reporting 23 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 7 days, 56 in the last 14, for a 2-week positivity rate of 5.6 percent. 

The Delta variant has been detected in 100 percent of the viral samples from Chaffee County residents since late June. This increase in its presence mirrors the trend across the state. 

To date, 22,572 Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered to Chaffee County residents. 71 percent of eligible Chaffee County residents 12 plus have received at least 1 dose of vaccine. Almost 80 percent of Chaffee residents 65 plus are fully vaccinated. 

Chaffee County Public Health, along with other local vaccine providers, has ample vaccine inventory to meet the needs of those who fall within the criteria for a third dose.
