The City of Salida is inviting residents to weigh in on the latest plans for a proposed affordable senior housing development and public park, with a community meeting scheduled for tonight.
City staff will present updated design concepts, answer questions, and walk attendees through the next steps in pursuing funding. A key part of the discussion will center on the city’s upcoming Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC)application — a competitive process that, if successful, would supply a major share of the project’s financing. The application deadline is in February, and officials say tonight’s meeting is an opportunity for residents to better understand how the funding process works and what comes next.
The meeting will be held from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Salida Fire House Meeting Room, 611 Oak Street. Residents are encouraged to attend and share feedback.
