The Salida High School Track and Field remains closed for resurfacing through June 30.
During the construction period, both the track and turf field are closed to all athletic practices and community use while crews complete improvements to the facility.
School officials say athletic practices normally held on the turf field have been relocated to Kesner Field for the duration of the project.
The resurfacing work is part of a routine maintenance effort designed to preserve the quality and safety of the facility for students, athletes, and community members.
The track is scheduled to reopen on July 1, pending completion of the project. Any updates to the schedule will be provided by the school district.
