Salida Closes Aquatic Center and Cancels Activities

Due to heightened concern about the Coronavirus, Salida has closed the Aquatic Center and cancelled activities.

A message from the City of Salida:

During this time of heightened concern about Coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to make you aware of the additional health and safety steps we are taking in our Parks and Recreation Department.

First, we will be temporarily closing the Hot Springs Aquatic Center in the interest of public health. All recreation and aquatic classes and programs will be postponed including outdoor pickleball or tennis at Centennial courts. All events and large public gatherings on City property have been cancelled or postponed. Additionally, we have temporarily closed all Public bathrooms.

The City Staff will continue to maintain our facilities and ensure that all health precautions are followed. We are committed to maintaining our already rigorous health and safety practices and are proceeding with our next steps in sanitation of our facilities.

The Parks and Recreation Department will be continually updating our social media (salidaparksandrec) as well as our website salidarec.com with new information on our facilities and programming. For questions, please contact the Director of Parks and Recreation at diesel.post@cityofsalida.com. Please understand that staffing may be limited during this time, and responses may be delayed.
