The Salida City Council will hold a regular meeting tonight beginning at 6 p.m., preceded by a 5 p.m. work session.

During the work session, council members will discuss the proposed F Street closure and receive an overview of the city’s Dark Skies initiative.

Under the consent agenda at the regular meeting, council will consider first-reading approval of ordinances addressing unregistered vehicles, artificial turf installation, zoning of the 5-H LLC annexation as R-2 medium density residential, and amendments to the municipal code related to short-term rental business licenses.

The only item under new business is a resolution approving citizen appointments to the Planning Commission. The selection committee has recommended Sara Walsh and Don Reimer as regular members and Laura Pomerenke as an alternate member. Salty Riggs has declined to seek reappointment to her alternate position, and the committee recommends leaving that seat vacant and advertising the opening at a later date.

The meeting is open to the public.
