The Colorado Department of Transportation continues construction on Highway 50 through Howard and 285 through Fairplay.
The project includes the installation of slow-vehicle turnouts and passing lanes in both directions.
Speeds are reduced to 40 mph through the work zone and a 10 feet width limit is in place.
Work on the $4 million improvement project will continue through October.
Highway 285 is once again closed from mile marker 182 to 163 from 6 AM to 8 PM Monday through Thursday. A detour route has been set up through Hartsel. The road is reopened to traffic from Friday through Sunday.
The project is to add passing lanes and widen the highway, and is expected to be completed by November.
