Blasting and heavy rock scaling operations continue today along the Arkansas River corridor near Brown’s Canyon National Monument. As a result, river users should expect access delays and potential hold-ups between Fisherman’s Bridge and Ruby Mountain Campground.
This construction is part of the road widening project on County Road 300, improving access to the popular outdoor destination.
Please note that no river access is currently allowed at Ruby Mountain Campground for either put-in or take-out. That restriction will remain in effect until May 1.
