The Chaffee County Community Foundation, in partnership with the City of Salida, Chaffee County, The Colorado Trust, and El Pomar Foundation, has launched Phase 2 of the Food Access Grant, a funding opportunity designed to strengthen food access infrastructure and systems across Chaffee County.
The grant program will support community-driven solutions over the next 12 months that improve access to nutritious food for local residents.
A total of up to $200,000 in funding is available through the program. Individual grant awards will range from $5,000 to $100,000, depending on the scope and scale of the proposed projects.
Organizations interested in applying can attend a pre-application information session on March 12 to learn more about the process and eligibility requirements. The application period officially opens April 1.
Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, government agencies, faith-based organizations, and fiscally sponsored projects that serve residents of Chaffee County.
Additional information about the Food Access Grant and the application process is available at chaffeecommunity.org.
