Meet Sadie! She is the Heart of the Rockies Radio Pet of the Week.

Sadie is an extremely tolerant and sweet pup. She let staff dress her up in all of the outfits we could find, and enjoyed the attention during her photo shoot. Sadie came in with a hurt paw that needed vet attention, she was the absolute BEST patient when it was getting treated. If you’re looking for a great dog, look no further! Sadie is a 5 year old female Boxer mix. We would love nothing more than for her to find her home just in time for the holidays! Sadie would prefer a kitty-free home.

All adoptable animals receive the following services prior to adoption:

  • Spay or Neuter
  • Age-appropriate boosters
  • De-wormer
  • Vaccines
  • Microchip

The Ark Valley Humane Society is open and available by appointment only, make sure to call 719-395-2737 and schedule an appointment before coming to the shelter! If you or someone you know is in need of pet food, we have community pet food available! Just call us to arrange a contactless pick up! 

Holiday Hours

We’re closing early this Thursday at 4PM For Christmas Eve and will be closed to the public all day Friday, Christmas day. Normal Hours will resume on Saturday. 

4th Annual Bow Wow Film Festival

We’re currently seeking business sponsorships for our fourth annual Bow Wow Film Festival! This dog centric film festival will be held virtually this year for two weeks in February!
