Meet Recee! She’s the Heart of the Rockies Radio Pet of the Week.

Recee is a sweet 5 year old Domestic Shorthair mix. She is currently staying in a loving foster home where she spends her time split between cuddling up on her foster mom’s lap, and keeping an eye on what’s going on outside through the window. She was reported to be a great mouser! If you’re looking for a beautiful and cuddly cat who can earn her keep by keeping the mice away, then give us a call at 719-395-2737!

All adoptable animals receive the following services prior to adoption:

  • Spay or Neuter
  • Age-appropriate boosters
  • De-wormer
  • Vaccines
  • Microchip

Feline & Fido Photo Contest

Save the date: June 29th is when our annual Feline and Fido Photo Contest goes live! Start taking some shots of your pets, and get ready to submit them! It costs $5 to submit a photo and $1 per vote (with a 5 vote minimum) proceeds benefit the work of AVHS!

If you find a kitten outside, and are unsure of what to do, STOP and fill out our kitten questionnaire at ark-valley.org, or call us at 719-395-2737! Usually, the best place for a young kitten is with it’s mom (who may be off hunting!), but every situation is unique, so call us first before scooping up a kitten!
