Meet Charlie! He’s the Heart of the Rockies Radio Pet of the Week.
Charlie is the coolest cat at the Ark Valley Humane Society! He gets along with every other cat he meets, and he likes dogs! Charlie is an 11 year old male Domestic Shorthair mix who loves to explore. His favorite thing is to hang out in the cat group room during the day at the very top of the kennels and keep an eye on everything from his perch. If you’re looking for a cool and social cat, Charlie is your guy!
All adoptable animals receive the following services prior to adoption:
- Spay or Neuter
- Age-appropriate boosters
- De-wormer
- Vaccines
- Microchip

Bow Wow Film Festival
The third annual Bow Wow Film Festival is February 29th at the Salida SteamPlant. Come out and enjoy a night filled with animal-themed shorts! Tickets are $10 and can be purchased now at the Salida SteamPlant Box Office, Salida Chamber of Commerce, Salida Free the Monkey or Ark-Valley Humane Society. Proceeds benefit AVHS.
