Chaffee County Commissioners will convened as the 1041 Permit Authority Tuesday to continue the public hearing process for Nestle Waters North America’s 1041 permit extension request for spring water production.     

It is expected that commissioners will vote on conducting an economic impact analysis and extend Nestle’s existing permit while awaiting the analysis. 

The final draft of the new Chaffee County Comprehensive Plan is ready for review.     

Over the last two months, the Planning Commission and County’s planning staff have worked with the consultant Cushing Terrell to incorporate feedback heard over the last year and now the county is seeking your feedback prior to the public hearing scheduled for December 15.     

While the public hearing will be the final opportunity for public comment, the county is encouraging the community to take advantage of the public comment period prior to the hearing.
