Monarch Mountain is set to close out its ski season this Sunday, and the resort is inviting visitors to celebrate with a full lineup of fun events and themed days.
The mountain is ending the season on a high note with Ski Patrol Appreciation Day on Friday, honoring the team that helps keep the slopes safe. Guests can also enjoy live music on the deck throughout the weekend, creating a lively après-ski atmosphere. The festivities will culminate Sunday with the popular Gunbarrel Challenge, a crowd-favorite event that adds a competitive and entertaining twist to closing day.
In addition to special events, Monarch is encouraging skiers and riders to get festive with daily costume themes. The schedule includes Tie-Dye Tuesday, Western Wednesday, Throwback Thursday, Flower Power Friday, Pajama Saturday, and wraps up with “Anything PG Goes” on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Ski Cooper in Leadville has already wrapped up its season, closing this past Sunday.
With spring conditions and a celebratory vibe, Monarch Mountain’s final weekend promises a memorable sendoff to the ski season.
