Just 30 minutes south of the Decker Fire, a smaller fire erupted in the small community of Moffat Tuesday afternoon.
Despite its smaller size, the fire destroyed a total of four buildings, including three homes and a local business. Nine people were left without homes as a result, vehicles and belonging were lost.
Firefighters don’t know exactly what started the fire, but they do know it spread quickly. A large propane tank exploded, landing in a grassy field, starting another grass fire.
