Authorities have released details about a theft at J.P. McGill’s Casino in Cripple Creek that occurred Monday.
According to arrest papers, surveillance video captured 26-year-old Andrew Irvine jumping over the cashier’s cage counter while an employee was out of the room. The footage showed Irvine taking cash from a drawer, totaling more than $75,000.
The Colorado Division of Gaming assisted Cripple Creek Police in tracking Irvine to his home in Colorado Springs, where he was arrested.
Irvine is currently being held at the Teller County Jail awaiting the filing of formal charges.
