January is recognized as Quality of Life Month, a time to focus on overall wellbeing. Quality of life extends beyond physical health and also includes mental, emotional, and social wellness, all of which play an important role in maintaining a healthy community.
For those caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease or a related form of dementia, support is available through Chaffee County Caregiver Support Groups. These groups provide a space for caregivers to connect, share experiences, and access helpful resources.
Meetings are held the first Thursday of the month, the third Tuesday of the month, and the second Wednesday of the month. For specific times, locations, and additional information, caregivers are encouraged to visit the Public Health page at chaffeecounty.org.
Health officials say recognizing caregivers and supporting their wellbeing is an essential part of improving quality of life across the community.
