The City of Salida would like to inform residents, businesses, and visitors of ongoing infrastructure work taking place along F Street as part of scheduled improvement projects.

Bollard Installation:

The City is installing new bollards on F street at the intersections of Sackett, First Street, Second Street, and in the alley between Second and Third Streets.

The removable bollards will be installed to allow for temporary street closures on F Street during special events. This project, designed with both function and community in mind, supports the City’s vision of a more flexible and pedestrian-friendly space for public gatherings and neighborhood events.

Temporary closures or partial lane restrictions may occur during installation. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to use caution and follow posted signage in affected areas.

Water Service Installation (Private Development):
A private builder is currently conducting work on the 300 block of F Street to install a new water service connection. While this is a privately led project, the City is working closely with the contractor to ensure the impact on traffic and nearby properties is minimized.

Curb Repairs:
The City’s Public Works Department has begun curb repairs on the 500 to 700 blocks of F Street. Repairs will continue over the next few weeks, weather permitting.

“We appreciate the public’s patience as these improvements are carried out,” said Director of Public Works, David Lady. “Each of these projects plays a key role in creating a safer, more accessible, and more vibrant F Street corridor.”
