The Howard Volunteer Fire Department will be conducting drone mapping operations over Fremont County Roads 46, 47, and 48 in the coming weeks.
Fire officials say the aerial mapping project is part of ongoing pre-incident planning efforts aimed at improving emergency response capabilities throughout the area.
The drone surveys will help create detailed maps that can be used by first responders during emergencies, providing valuable information about access routes, terrain, structures, and other features that may impact response efforts.
Department officials say the project is intended to enhance preparedness and help emergency personnel respond more efficiently and safely when incidents occur.
