Chaffee County Public Health is inviting residents to attend a county-wide Emergency Preparedness Fair tonight from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Chaffee County Fairgrounds.

The free event will provide community members with information about resources, services, and planning tools available to help prepare for emergencies such as wildfires and other disasters.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in panel discussions featuring local representatives who will answer questions and provide guidance on emergency preparedness and evacuation planning.

In a press release, Chaffee County Public Health Director Andrea Carlstrom said, “As we anticipate an active wildfire season across Colorado, several local agencies started talking about the need to be proactive to equip our community with planning and preparedness resources, and this fair is one step to better protect the people of Chaffee County.”

Organizers encourage residents to attend and learn how they can better prepare themselves, their families, and their property for potential emergencies.
